A short update

Riley has a ton of new stuff going on. Her vocabulary is the main point here, as is her eating.

She ate a half head of cauliflower (cafour) last nite for dinner. Talk about stinkers... she was farting all over the place! But she loved it so much, I couldn't take it away from her.

Her latest word: couture. Yes, that's right. Don't ask me where she learned that (she hasn't been hanging out with Biki THAT much). We're thinking maybe she's trying to say... quarter... we'll see.

She's been a dancing fool lately. I foresee her being the next Missy Eliot dancer. Check it out. This video includes background selsctions from the who, the scorpions, talking heads, zeppelin, david bowie, and tom petty (but I chose Zeppelin as the soundtrack). My gawd... prepare yourself...

She's learned to use 'please'. WITH the sign language motion. Whenever she wants to nurse, she says 'milk' (pronounced meeeeelk), and after I say 'no' a couple of times, she comes out with 'please'. And with those big eyes and the 'peeeeeze', how can I resist?!?! Too cute...

I caught her with her baby Dora doll wrapped in a blanket. She was carrying her around all wrapped up, then put her on the couch, and whispered 'shhhhh, bed'.

Oh! And, while we're here, let's see the pics from Riley and Coral coloring Easter eggs. We somewhat prepared for a messy endeavor, and it did get out of hand a little bit... I taped the whole thing, but thanks to Marcus, the batteries in my CamCorder were completely dead, and I got about 3 seconds of Jen trying to get Riley to sit down. Great, thanks, Marcus. But we had a wonderful time, and the eggs were the most beautiful eggs I've ever seen. Good job, ladies!

Riley hunted the eggs (she was so excited after I showed her the first egg, then she totally went to town finding the rest). And, the Easter Bunny brought Riley a ton of beautiful fruit, some candy, and two new puzzles. She loved it all.

And, here's a perfect upside-down monkey-kiss at the zoo:
