And big-ups to Justin for the Mother's day phone call. What a great surprise! And to Kathy and Frank for the lovely card. Another nice surprise. Thank you.
We spent the entire day as a mellow family. Bagels and lox for breakfast here at home. Riley had blackberries for the first time, and loved them. After that, she had a big nap, while dad got out the yard furniture for the summer. The yard looks great. It's all about Riley. We'll take a photo of the yard next weekend to share.
Here are some photos from our wonderful first mother's day in the sun.
So, Russell and I both took photos today. And we both think we took the best photo of the day. They are below. Which one do you think is the best photo? I'm not telling you which is who's! Here is a photo of the tooth! We're so excited, and it really doesn't seem to bother her at all. Click on the photo to make it bigger.

The neighbors across the street had a first birthday party for their little girl, and they rented this big jumping castle for the kids. Riley and I walked over to say hi, and she was so excited! She loved watching all the kids jump and scream. And they loved meeting her, too!
Happy mom's day to all the moms in our circle of friends and family... please send me some photos so I can share them on my blog!!
So, now we are going for sushi. Mom's day couldn't get any better! Thanks, dad! I love you so much.
