Key Largo: Part Two

So, more about Key Largo. You know, Riley had so much fun with my folks, I didn't want to take her away! I don't know if I've mentioned before, but she decided when we got there that my dad would be referred to as "Papa". Pretty cute, but, my mom has been begging her to say grandma forever. Well, at least, as long as I can remember. And it wasn't until the very last day of our vacation that Riley decided to call to my mom. And she decided that my mom would be called "Buddy". That's her buddy! And to this day, my mom is "Buddy" to Riley. Best name ever, if you ask me.

Here is a video of us swimming in the pool at our house. We spent many hours in that pool during our week there, after we figured out how to turn the heater on! Nobody wants to swim in a cold pool... even when it's 90˚ outside. That's what the Gulf or the Ocean is for.

We bought her a bunch of toys and stuff while we were there. Some of them came home with us, some stayed for future tenants. This Dora towel/cape definitely came home with us. She LOVES it.

Riley and Buddy enjoyed dressing alike and playing peek-a-boo.

Buddy took us to Shell World, to buy some shells for Riley to bring home. Riley loved it there, and got a slew of shells, which she loves to play with, and screams, "Buddy!" every time she plays with them.

We took my mom out for a nice birthday dinner while we were there. She turned 60 (oops, I mean 29) this year. This place was amazing. There was some live, mellow music, tons of space for Riley to run around in the sand, other kids for her to play with, and the food kicked some serious ass. No joke, we ate one of everything. And so did Riley. Mmmmm, I could go back there right this minute.

Mommies and babies dancing after dinner. Super-cool.
