Today was another one of those days... just hang out around the water, since it's so blazing hot. We went out for a little while to a car hop and blues band at Legion Keener field. That was fun, and they had the biggest playground structure I've ever seen. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera. We'll go back... Riley quickly became Cinderella in the castle, and *RAN* over to every person entering, to invite them into her castle. So good.
Papa cleaned out her pool and refilled it. And she proceeded to drown all of her Barbies. They're still out there, naked, floating in the water, as we speak. Bad mommy, Riley!
LOADS of good papa time today. Loads of it. Good, good stuff.
We BBQ'd for dinner: burgers, zucchini, and corn. Mmmm. Perfect mid-summer PA meal. Afterwards, mom and I took Riley to the lake while papa prepped for marshmallows.
Then someone had to pee. We were yards from a bathroom, but right beside a lake. Hmm. What to do? Who peed? And proceeded to try to swim? Who's getting arrested? Not me!!
I thought we would use the grill for marshmallows. Nope. Yeah, it's about 85˚, but we still NEED a fire to toast marshmallows. Crazy people, I say! We all sat about 30 feet away from it, and needed a fishing rod to cast the marshmallows in. But, OK. Then Riley came over, and someone had to give in and get waaaay too close....NOT ME!! Hah.

And for a super-strong closer, tonight was the 3rd night in a row where we had this toddler BATHED, TEETH BRUSHED, READ TO, and IN BED... ON TIME, 8:30. Time for us adults to celebrate!!!! To be real....
