Happy Ha-weeeeeeeeeen!

Wow, did Riley have fun this year on Halloween! Uh, let me back up. Wow, did Riley have fun this year for the Halloween month of October! She was SO excited every time she saw pumpkins or any other Halloween decorations, but she had no real idea of what she was in for on the actual day of Halloween. Sure, last year we had fun (see here, and here)... but this year, she's 2-1/4 years old, and she was totally on to everything going on around her. We adults had just as much fun, if not more, just watching her. OMG. She only got truly kinda scared once, and it was the Munch's "The Scream" mask. Will that costume ever go away? Seriously, I think it's been more than a little overdone, and how many people who wear it do you really think know it's history??

I digress... now, it's your turn to enjoy Riley's Halloween.

And the accompanying photos:

Morning festivities and trick-or-treating with Grammy in rainy Cole Valley:

Judith, Finn, and Daddy Ben hosted their second annual pre-trick-or-treating bash at their house. Once again, a hoot!
Judith and Finn:

Uh, some babies...

Robin and Meredith, who are moving to Boston tomorrow (we'll miss you guys terribly!!!)

Part of the gang:

Robin, Ramona, and Daddy Brian:

The usual suspects, trick-or-treating in West Portal, where two blocks of families concocted a semi-scary Harry Potter themed extravaganza, which Riley didn't particularly care for:

In West Portal, we met up with Jen, Coral, and daddy Chris (Sarah and Todd Palin, with preggers daughter Bristol in Burberry):

...and ran into another ladybug (mmm, sorry, little ladybug, cute, but not quite as cute....)

Some of the evening's Harry Potter spirit:

And in election spirit (awesome):

And here are two of our huge, $53 jack-o-lanterns. The moose was carved in honor of Riley's latest obsession. Every little noise she hears is, "Oh, mommy, a moose!" Grammy carved both of these critters. Nice work, grammy! I carved a kitty and a bat, but they weren't nearly as awesome...

Oh, and let me not forget to include a few great Halloween/fall photos from our clan in Toronto.

And check this out. Our neice, Quinn, wearing the same costume Jasper wore this year, playing with a boy who looks a LOT like Jasper (see gang photo, above)!!

And to end, here is the new Coppertone baby. Seriously, no?

I just loved all the Halloween pics, and especially the video of Riley screaming with pleasure at all the kids who came to the door. It looks like they do it up big in San Francisco..wish we could have seen you all, but we weren't even in T.O. to see the the fun and chaos going on here. But we had the spirit of Halloween with us on vacation, cause all the ship's staff were dressed in fun costumes. Riley has grown up so much since we last saw her. It's too long. But keep the videos coming, they help to keep us up to date.

who would have ever thought that Riley's eyes could get any bigger than they already are?
Could she have been any more excited?!?!
I loved every second with her, those reactions are why I have to fly across the country just for Halloween.
Thanks for all the smiles, my little Bella!
I love you,
